Directions From The Airport
If you are coming from the Juan Santamaria International Airport, take the Inter American Highway northwest to Liberia. The trip is 135 miles and should take around 4 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive Liberia you will see a traffic light on the highway with 2 gas stations, a Burger King and a Papa John's on the corners. In Liberia , take road 21 southwest to Belen. Turn right in Belen and drive to Huacas which is about half an hours drive. From there you will make a left and follow the signs to Tamarindo, about 35 minutes.
