DON from AIRDRIE, ALBERTA had this to say:
"We just came back yesterday from our fun in the sun vacation at the Crown Paradise Club in Cancun. Food was very good in all restaurants that we reserved each night, especially Wayne's Boots steak house. Make a reservation the day or even two days before. The buffet every day had plenty of different choices for every meal and the staff cooks your food right in front of you to your specifications. The table staff is very efficient and quick to serve. This buffet is conveniently located in the middle of everything and right next to the pool areas. We drank water and used ice and all of us stayed healthy all week. The beds are firm, but after two days we all noticed how good we felt compared to our softer beds at home. We are going to rebook again this February when the humidity is lower than this past hot July week. One complaint we had was that it seemed we were sharing a week with a lot of U.K. visitors in July, who all seemed to smoke, even while sitting on the side of pools with their legs in the water. That's a turn off, and as a family resort I would enforce a `no smoking` policy around the pools and decks. All in all, we had a great week and the entertainment staff was a lot of fun."

"I would like to thank Nikki of Bookit.com for recommending this property to us. Crown Paradise is GREAT! We had so many places inside the property to pick from to eat, you just couldn't do it all. The guys Miguel & Carlos Lobby Bar as well as Felipe at Fisherman's provided very good customer service that we suggest you try. Everything was perfect for my 15th Anniversary. As far as my husband and I are concerned, this is the place for families and couples alike. So much to do while you're there. Every bit worth what you pay. "

"Another great vacation at Crown Paradise! This was our 5th time back. Excellent family resort. The shows were wonderful. The staff was friendly and very hardworking. Food was delicious. The kids had a great time at the game room, and kids club. There were waterslides, volleyball, and soccer for the kids. The ocean is absolutely gorgeous. The only thing I would improve on is new equipment at the gym, but the trainer was fantastic. I would recommend this resort to anyone. We were home for 3 days and already booked our next trip to Crown Paradise in November. Can't wait! "

"Just came back from a week at this resort and can honestly say that I loved every minute of it. I am just sorry I didnt book for a longer stay. It was a great family vacation for the 5 of us (Kids ages 9, 5 and 4 yrs old) and would definitely go back. The restaurants were very clean, pools were clean, entertainment was great, poolside grill was clean and those guys worked VERY HARD. The waves were a bit rough but that is beyond anyone's control. Overall, I was very impressed and where there is praise and credit to be given i am more than happy to give it. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING family vacation. Thanks guys"

"I traveled with two teenage girls, there was so much going on and so much to do all the time that the two girls spent the entire time SMILING!! There was entertainment poolside everyday, a nightly show, and trips to the local eateries. The entertainment staff is fantastic, the entire hotel staff is fantastic; always a smile and a hola. The hotel was clean, the room was clean, the food was great at the buffet. We only tried two resturants; Wayne's Steak and The fisherman, the food was fantastic. A GREAT family resort!!!!!!!"

Debbie from Eatontown, New Jersey had this to say:
"We just came back from our trip with our kids. The Crown Paradise hotel is not what you would expect for a 4 star hotel. It is dated and in strong need of upgrading and decorative improvements for its stark decor. The front desk service is disappointing and at times almost unfriendly..The beds are extremely hard - the hardest we've ever slept on anywhere - and the food is OK. Watch out for deceptive time share sales people who approach you right as you arrive and come across as information reps for the hotel. The children's water park area keeps the water very low and when the kids come off the slides, they bounce and scrape on the ground - it's not very safe or comfortable for them. Stay with your kids if they play there. The pool area closes down at 5 pm and it's too early. The beach area has eroded from storms and the tide is very strong. The spa is actually very nice, but hidden and not well marketed by the hotel."

A Recent Traveler from Port Clinton, OH had this to say:
"We have been going to this resort for the past 14 years. Service is excellent!! Caters to the children. If you are a couple without children, I would not recommend this resort. The food is OK and not as good as it has been in the past. They are trying to feed too many people. This past week they are really trying to control the saving of poolside chairs by removing items on chairs prior to 8AM. Now that my children are grown, we are ready for a more adult oriented resort. The beds are hard as rocks and very uncomfortable. Resort was booked full this past week and everything was very crowded and tons of kids."

Kim from Calgary, Alberta had this to say:
"We took our 4 kids (10,6,4 & 2) to this resort and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun kid orientated resort. They had an excellent kids club and baby club that I felt comfortable leaving the kids at. They also had a lot of activities for both adults and kids, and the kids club went until 9:45 at night as long as you sign them up before 4:30 that day. 'The staff were excellent and made you feel at home and very welcome at the resort.'The food was good, however was the same every night with a few minor changes. The sushi bar was excellent, but don't go at peak meal times or you will have a very long wait (we went around 2:00 and got served right away, otherwise it was a 30-40 min wait between 12:00-1:30)'The rooms were very clean and housekeeping did an excellent job of cleaning out the sand in the room each day. The beds were a little hard, but ours did not have a protective covering. All in all they weren't the best, but they did the job!'Although gratuities are included a tip definitely goes a long way in getting better service. 'For adults looking for a more rowdy time, this may not be the resort for you. After the night shows they do have a 45 min night activity in the collage bar, but then the night really fizzles out unless you go out of the resort to the downtown bars. The entertainment staff were also really upbeat and friendly. 'I would recommend this to anyone traveling with kids or looking for a fun yet low key vacation. "

A Recent Traveler from East Windsor, NJ had this to say:
"Pretty much found most other reviews to be true. Kids loved the place! (11 yr old boy, 8 yr old girl), view from room was beautiful! Food was pretty good. Pool water is definitely cold! We will most likely go back here. My husband and I loved it as well. It is a great place for a family vacation. The service was great and the staff was MORE than helpful. It is not a luxury resort, but if you want a clean, decent resort that wants to work to make you feel good while you are there, this is the place."

Amber from Cedar Rapids, IA had this to say:
"Cancun was great for our first time to Mexico. We had tours booked every day. We stayed busy and had a fantastic time. The staff at the crown paradise club were fantastic. Our room was great and the staff at the lobby bar were out of this world, I can't say enough about them. The food was good for the most part, the buffet was the same almost every day, a little disappointed with that but overall it was great!"

Lori from Lansing, MI had this to say:
"We stayed at the Crown Paradise Club from Feb 4-10. Food was good, was very family oriented place--wouldn't recommend if you don't want to be around kids. The beds were the hardest & most uncomfortable I've ever slept on (had protective plastic layer)...put a damper on our vacation. Nightly entertainment was very good. Pool bartenders are awesome."

"Had a great time just got back, nice hotel excellent staff, had to wait one hour for room but was worth it.'Be careful about the people at the airport when you land, they sucker you into'what they say is not time share and just a promotion for a mexican chain, wasted 30 minutes of our time offered us tour promotions also the people in the lobby'were annoying and constantly hackled us about the time share which again was'described as just a presantation and breakfast.'Hotel has a great location and beach.Food was good and a good choice of Restaurants."

A Recent Traveler from Manson, Iowa had this to say:
"We arrived a day after a tropical storm hit Cancun in July 2008. The hotel was very clean under the circumstances. The staff was helpful and the hotel was nice. It took us a day to get restaraunt reservations but was worth the extra effort. The staff was very helpful with all of our excursion plans. I was dissapointed that the bar on the beach was never open but had a great time anyway. The nightly shows were aimed at kids 8 and under and was very family oriented. All of the food was great including the buffet. The planned activities were a hit and miss, being on time was not a priority for the hotel."

FREDDY from BLOOMINGTON, CA had this to say:
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

A Recent Traveler from southbury, ct had this to say:
"Not at all what we expected. It was rated a 4 star when we booked it, it was more like a 2 star if even that. There were only two choices for lunch everyday and we got real tired of eating the same food every day. The buffet choices NEVER change. It was impossible to get a reservation to eat at the restaurants at night. Even when the restaurants were empty they would tell us they were all booked up. So guess where we ended up eating again,.........the stinky buffet!!! Kids club was way to young for my 8,9 & 11 year old. It was more for ages 3 & 4. The lobby bar was sooooo loud at night, the air conditioner never worked right, food was terrible and no fun at the pool side. Don't waste your money."

A Recent Traveler from Panama, Panama had this to say:
"WORSE PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR NOT EVEN $30.00 A DAY. STAFF WAS RUDE, PLACE WAS DISGUSTING, BARS WERE MOSTLY CLOSED, FOOD WAS TASTELESS, NO ACTIVITIES. POOL WAS DIRTY, AND ROOMS WERE NOT CLEANED ON TIME. WE HAD TO CALL AND ASK FOR TOWELS. AND ABOVE EVERYTHING THEY FORGOT TO GIVE US THE WAKE UP CALL. REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE."

A Recent Traveler from dallas, tx had this to say:
"This is the worse place I have ever vacationed at. As a matter of fact, upon arrival, I was on the phone with Bookit.com to find another locaton. The staff was rude, the room was filthy, and the food was gross. I would never return, and you should not waste your time. We ended up leaving the next morning to Cancun Palace...it was amazing and worth every cent!"
