"I am also a native and resident of New Orleans. I walk my dogs through the park at least two to five times a week and it's always beautiful. There is a little more litter than usual, but there are also lots more people around. The playground is almost always full, and te gardens are beautiful. As a matter of fact, I like it better since the storm because the landscaping is more natural looking. It is a perfect environment to bring dogs and take them off the leash with no worry of harm. They can run as much as they want through grass. They have ducks to chase freely. All in all, its a good park. I love it. "

I enjoy the park greatly but lately I have noticed that on the city park ave. side of the park there is an abundance of litter, dead tree branches, and huge tire-ruts in the mud from vehicles. If a tourist was walking in my footsteps they would have been dissapointed to see the sorry condition of the park. "
