"Beautiful hotel grounds! Our reg. room was small with 2 kids but the trip was worth every penny."

A Recent Traveler from Minnetonka, MN had this to say:
"Very clean rooms and beautiful surroundings. Room service delivered an excellent shrimp dinner. Had two complaints - one: I was put in a room directly below a wedding reception and I was sure the stomping was going to come right down through the ceiling, and two: when I checked in I was not provided any help finding my room and getting my luggage there. Never having been there before - it was a struggle! It was a one night stay and did not have the opportunity to use all the facilities offered and being totally exhausted I didn't get the rest I had hoped for. But I would recommend it and stay there again but for a longer stay."

Debbie Hammond from Springfield, Illinois had this to say:
"We recently stayed at the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort from April 4-12, 2009. We had a beach front king suite which included a king bed in one room, a queen size sofa sleeper in another room, and two balcony's. The suite also had two televisions, a mini fridge, microwave, breakfast bar, safe, and a iron. This resort was fabulous! We had a wonderful stay. By far, this hotel is the best value for your money. The staff were very friendly and helpful (Thanks Tara C and Andrea P.). Housekeeping did a great job as everything was always well kept. The staff was always busy caring for the property. This resort has the largest stretch of beach front property in the area. The property is located next to the Boardwalk which is an added benefit as there is so much to do there. My kids loved getting ice cream and taco's at the Boarwalk. Within walking distance is a fishing pier and the Gulfarium. This resort has three pools, hot tub, and a water park that my kids loved! The first pool is the Grotto pool that has a beautiful waterfall and swim-up bar. The second pool is heated and the third pool is a kidddie pool. The outdoor area is very nice with a tropical look. The hotel also has an on site restaurant which has a nice breakfast buffet and there is an outdoor barbecue hut that has great lunch items. We also loved Alvin's Island which is a store that carries all of your basic beach needs. The store was very reasonably priced. There is also a tiki bar that is beach front. Everything you need in a vacation is all right here. However, if you decide to leave, Destin is just a few minutes drive away. Parking was adequate. The resort also has activities for the kids. My kids enjoyed the planned Easter activity in which they made an Easter basket, decorated eggs, watched a movie, and had pizza. On Easter morning, the hotel put on a great Easter egg hunt. We loved our stay so much that we decided to stay an extra day. We definitely would recommend this property as we had outstanding service all around. This resort was more than we had expected. "

A Recent Traveler from Gulfport, MS had this to say:
"Pet friendly and beach access a plus! The housekeeping staff was great, BUT the front desk manager was inexperienced and incosiderate. Our luggage was left at the front desk overnight and items were missing when we picked it up. The hotel was undergoing renovations and I got paint on myself and my clothes in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was average, but it was the same thing every day. I hope they renovate the rooms; floating ceilings in bathroom rattled , as well as the a/c, and carpet was stained and burned. Fridge but no microwave in room. The kids play area, hot tub and heated pool are nice. However, I lost more money (stolen items) than I saved by staying here. I would not return!"
