Sanibel's Seaside Inn -- offers a touch of Olde Island charm in a classic Florida escape just steps from the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Seaside Inn offers 32 beautiful hotel rooms and cottages with interiors inspired by a 50*s retro flavor combining hues of pale blues, greens and yellow with accents of teal and turquoise. Relaxing on furniture made from bamboo, wicker and fruitwood, guests enjoy the personal touches of the inn, such as continental breakfast delivered to each room. Photographs of families enjoying the Sanibel Island beach, collecting shells and water skiing hang upon the colorful walls. Outdoor activities abound with quiet adventures, from pedaling 23 miles of paved nature trails that wind through picturesque wetlands and spotting egrets, spoonbills and herons to combing the beach for more than 200 rare species of shells. For more active play, Sanibel Island offers 18 holes of golf on 75 acres of natural lake view fairways and Audubon Cooperative Society wetlands at The Dunes Golf & Tennis Club.
