"I have stayed in suites at the Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua and the Four Seasons in Wailea. If you are looking for the best possible ocean view on Maui, then book an ocean-front suite at the Maui Prince. You will have a 270 degree view of the ocean, 3 lanais, and your suite is located on the ocean front corners of the hotel. The suites are quite pricey, but well worth it. Every single room at the Maui Prince has at least a partial ocean view. And their location in South Maui is literally 'the last resort,' so the beach is never crowded. Great snorkeling at the hotel's beach, or you can take the boat to Molokini which leaves directly from the beach at the Maui Prince. If you want great ocean views, a great beach, and fantastic snorkeling then you can not go wrong with the Maui Prince!"

  • Exiting the Kahului airport, at the first traffic signal, veer left and follow Dairy Road.
  • Continue on Dairy Road to the 6th traffic light and turn left onto Pu’unene Avenue (Hwy 350), following signs to Kihei, Wailea and Makena.
  • Continue on Hwy 350, which connects to Mokulele Highway (Hwy 311), for approx. seven miles.
  • Turn left onto Pi’ilani Highway (Hwy 31) at the second traffic light.
  • Continue on Hwy 31 approx. seven miles through 6 traffic lights until the road ends and turn right.
  • Continue down the hill where the road ends at the stop light and turn left onto Wailea Alanui.
  • Continue on Wailea Alanui through Wailea into Makena, approx. three miles.
  • The entrance to Maui Prince Hotel will be on the right.
