Aston Waimea Plantation Cottages is located on a black sand beach nearby a championship golf course and Waimea Canyon, "the Grand Canyon of the Pacific". Waimea Town was named as one of the "Dozen Distinctive Destination" by the National Trust for Preservation in 2006.
