"If New Orleans is the best place in the country to party, then International House is the best place to sleep it off."
- Travel & Leisure
International House is about New Orleans today. It's about a tangible contemporary style and an intangible spiritual warmth weaving its way throughout. It's about the welcoming glow of amber light from the outdoor gas lanterns to the candlelight soul of the hotel - the Loa bar. It's about the lobby ever changing for summer and winter dress in observance of rich local customs and rituals. International House espouses a wholly romantic flavor. There are layers upon layers to discover.
Stylish comfort of the modern furnishings make peace amidst the original interior ornamentation of this 1906 beaux arts-style building. A subtle voodoo theme appears throughout the hotel thanks to votive candles and ritual artifacts displayed as artwork. Thick padded couches and a bar off the lobby named for the voodoo word for divine spirit (loa) set the tone for this hotel. The grand opening of Kenny Lecour's new Restaurant Rambla redesigns a cool and comfortable space just off the grand lobby and will offer a unique blend of Spanish & French-influenced cuisine. The casual come-to-enjoy abmience is a spirited environment for all looking for a great dining experience. Rambla's menu, along with a select European wine list, amounts to a modern day celebration of the Spanish and French influences that continue to shape New Orleans culture and will only enhance the eclectic mixture of rough-hewn Old World sensibility with the contemporary edginess of International House.
The hotel emphasizes comfort and style, with standard high-speed Internet access, turndown service, designer toiletries, and artwork by local artists. Other amenities include glass showers with double heads, plush robes and a fitness center. There is also 10,000 feet of banquet/meeting space at the International House. This hotel is classical, hip and modern rolled into one; a perfect compliment for an unforgettable New Orleans experience.

J.D. Bell from Memphis, tn had this to say:
"From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and had a very relaxed feeling. My only suggestion would be to drop off your luggage at the front door and park your car yourself. There is plenty of self parking lots within a block for 15 dollars a night as apposed to 30 dollars a night plus tax for valet parking"
