"We went here for out 25th and it was great! Perfect location and the staff is the best anywhere. We loved the pool and the workout room was perfect. The bar personnel were very nice and do anything to make you happy. This is a diamond in the rough, as it is a perfect place to stay."

"I normally don't review the hotels I visit but wanted to take the time to review this one. We just returned from New Orleans and loved this hotel! The hotel is cozy, charming and in a fantastic location. I normally stay at chain hotels and decided to stay here because of the reviews, and was so glad we did. The rooms are small but clean with fantastic beds. The staff is more than friendly and helpful. The only thing I would comment on is the restaurant (La Meritage) is excellent but pricey for what you get. The portions are very small but extremely tasty. "

Melissa from Glenmora, LA had this to say:
"Overall OK! I arrived and the hotel personnel could not find my hotel reservations in which I booked through BookIt.com! Once I explained what I had and gave my reservation number still no one could find the room I had reserved. They ended up giving me a room just as I had made reservations for. The room was small and smelt like ciagarette smoke. The landscaping and pool area was gorgeous. The hotel was in a nice area just blocks from Bourbon St. Overall the hotel staff was helpful and nice. I would return but I will double and triple check my reservations before arriving and demand a non-smoking room!!!"

"Outstanding hotel. Great location. Close to the action (a three minute walk) but far enough away from the noise late at night. Staff was excellent and room was very nice as well as very clean. An excellent choice for a French Quarter stay."

"Stayed 3 nights Mar 18-21. Great room, staff, and location. Walk anywhere. The bed was the most comfortable. The restaurant, Le Meritage is not to be missed. We had our best meal right there. If you go before mid April don't miss the wine paring menu. We will recommend this hotel and restaurant to everyone and will return."

"This is a great hotel !! We stayed at the MD for Mardi Gras. It is within walking distance to everything in the French Quarter. Even though we were just 2 blocks from the revelry it was like an oasis, quiet and calm. We had a courtside balcony room and it was a little cramped but the bed was wonderful. Drinks in the the bar are a little pricey. Our only regret is we did not discover Le Meritage(formerly Dominiques) til our last night. The service is excellent and the food was best we had during our stay."

HDJ from Sacramento, CA had this to say:
"My husband and I stayed here during the week so can't speak to the weekend wedding issue, but the staff was great - we had originally booked a balcony room that was in a weird hallway and very small overlooking the street and were moved to a courtyard room - no balcony, but much bigger room - very comfortable, helpful staff, great location in the Quarter - would definitely stay here again - especially when you factor in the price. The parking is kind of pricey, but that seems to be typical for the NO and the Quarter. We would definitely stay again."

Krystal from Panama City Beach , Florida had this to say:
"My stay at the Maison was everything I could have asked for and more. I booked a quick weekend trip for two nights and was completely satisfied with my choice. The best thing about the Maison is the location. You are just close enough to the party (only two blocks from Bourbon Street) but just far enough away from the noise to get a relaxing nights rest. The style of decor and the friendliness of the staff give this hotel a small. personalized, boutique feel. The staff was more than accommodating and promptly assisted with any of our needs. The valet team was awesome and had great recommendations for activity and dining options in the area. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The price, the location, the staff, the vibe.....I would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting NOLA! "

Jo from San Diego, CA had this to say:
"The MD is my favorite hotel in New Orleans I have made probably 20 trips there overthe last 10 years and stay no where else. The staff is awesome the rooms clean, and the food is great. I tell all my bussiness associates to stay there that it has the most comfortable beds in New Orleans. Not that people go there to sleep, but when you are traveling on bussinessit is important to get a good nights rest. "

Derrick & Mercy from Atlanta, GA had this to say:
"We loved this hotel and would certainly return. We got a great discount on the room, parking, and even two free drink coupons that we didn't use but left in the night stand! (Room 213) The wife wanted the high rise chain hotel and I talked her into something more nostalgic, and we chose the MD because it had a gym! (Which she used once) NEVER stay on Bourbon St unless you are in college and love to party! This hotel is 3 blocks (150 yds) off Bourbon with a convenient little general store (liquor) half way between. We chose a King with balcony, which was nice for smoke breaks. (Yes the balcony was shared with a room on each side but SO WHAT, almost ALL New Orleans balcony's are shared in the Quarter) The bed was the MOST comfortable bed we have ever slept in, the air was very cold, and the room and bathroom comfortably spacious. The staff was great. The free FULL buffet style breakfast was great (Sat&Sun)! The valet's and parking garage/convenience was great! There were no events so everything was open. They have rooms facing the inner courtyard/pool and rooms facing the street. If you are concerned about noise simply call ahead and ask if events are planned so you can ask for a quiet room!! We didn't get to try the fine dining restaurant in house but we heard it was divine. The chef is renowned and even worked in the White House!! You will love the 200 year old building-30 year old hotel the Maison Dupuy!"
