"We stayed here during Mardi Gras 2008. We were thrilled with the hotel. The decor was beautiful and the hotel was spotless. The room was a bit smaller than typical but the comfort and elegance of the place made up for it. The location cannot be beat...just a few blocks to Canal St/FQ, Harrah's, Jackson Sq. We walked back and forth to the hotel at night and never felt unsafe...granted it was Mardi Gras and there were more people around. Only thing, was not thrilled with $30 parking fee. We would probably stay here again on next trip."

"The room was not dirty, but not clean. The room looked like it was slapped together, their were holes in the ceiling with toilet paper used as plugs. The cleaning staff never left any towels in the room and their were many questionable stains on the floor blankets and drapes. Everyday I had to go get towels from the front desk. The front desk is extremely unhelpful, they ignored me several times when I went to the counter to ask a question. The most helpful and friendliest people there are the bellhops. They were very eager to help and very friendly. Over all the location is not bad, but never pay full price the hotel is very poorly run and unkempt."
