Steve from BATON ROUGE , LA had this to say:
"My wife and I travel to New Orleans for a weekend getaway every three months and have been doing so for 15 years. We have stayed in probably 90% of all the hotels in and adjacent to the French Quarter. The Royal St. Charles has exclusively become our hotel of choice. Why? Two words: value and location. It is only one block from the quarter. Now, let's get to the 3 basics. First of all, I’d like to mention parking. Yes, there is free valet parking offered through Bookit.com, but arrive early, not at 8 pm. First come, first served. It saves you $30.00 per day and helps to avoid parking hassles. Secondly, let’s talk about staff efficiency. Folks, this isn’t the Windsor Court or the Hilton, so don't expect 4-Star accommodations and service. You get what you pay for. And for what little you pay, the staff is excellent and incredibly friendly. Be patient and extra friendly to them and they will reciprocate, I promise. Tipping everybody helps tremendously. Third, some words about the rooms. They are not huge, but why do they need to be? We are hardly ever there. The bed is comfortable; the A/C, heater and T.V. work great, the bathroom is clean and we go get our own towels when we need them. Remember the price. Here is a secret: ask for a corner room with a balcony facing St. Charles Ave. It is fun to watch everyone on St. Charles Ave. Also, be sure and pack ear plugs, a noise machine or loud fan, and masks for sleeping. Streetcar noise, lounge downstairs, noisy hallways, bright lights are all just part of the New Orleans ambiance that you came for in the first place. If you want quiet, then go to the beach. Enjoy your stay. We highly recommend this hotel and staff."

James from Fairhope, Alabama had this to say:
"The Royal St. Charles is a great place to stay. Located right off Canal and directly on the St. Charles street trolley line, this hotel welcomes you with courteous staff, and affordable rates in an excellent location., close to all French Quarter attractions. The room was awesome. Giant windows, comfortable bed, work desk, luxurious bathroom, and more. It was clean and safe. We will definitely return!"

Amy from Miami, FL had this to say:
"Wow...I was really impressed with this hotel. I didnt know what to expect since the price was so great. I got to the hotel checked in talked a bit with the staff and then went straight to the room I think I was upgraded or something because the room I had overlooked all St Charles street with a balcony for miles. It was cute to see the street car there at the corner and nxt door had the best mufeletta I have ever tasted.. to boot the restaurant was featured on thrown down with Bobby Flay and whopped him.. To close I would recommend this hotel over and over again. The only negative thing I could say is when I awoke about 9am there was no breakfast only coffee but I could have been beat out by other guest's... But with all the good food in New Orleans who wants some day old pastries anyway....."

Jessica from Amite, Louisiana had this to say:
"There are many other hotels in N.O. that are much nicer than this one for the same price. When I arrived the staff was friendly, but I had to wait a while to get a cart for my luggage that another guest had to bring down after they finished with it. There were not any wash clothes in my room and when I called the front desk they told me that it would be the next morning before they would have any. Although the bed was comfortable the rooms are small and the bathroom is very tiny. "

"I absolutely loved this hotel! Clean, convenient, nice staff. Loved the bed. We almost missed out on everything else because everyime we sat on the bed we would go to sleep. Can't wait to visit again."

Kim from Hattiesburg, Mississippi had this to say:
"I got to the hotel and someone at the hotel had cancelled my reservations and I had to pay for another room because the staff couldn't reopen a cancelled account. It was the hotels fault and the staff was very rude and not accomadating. The rooms were acceptionally nice and make up for the lack of service. "

Don from Columbus, OH had this to say:
"I stayed at the Royals St Charles on 9/18/08 and everything was outstanding. They let me check-in 2 hours early. I booked with Book-it and the price included $30.00 valet parking, they gave me no problems with that. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. I will stay there on my next visit. Close to everything."
