"In general, the staff is cold as ice. I'm not one who expects very much, but when I have to initiate every conversation at the front desk it gets crazy. The folks up there literally just stare at you until you lead them into whatever it is that you need. I had to battle to receive the promised parking discount and never did get any information on those complimentary cocktails or the "morning starter." The $7 amentity fee, which was admittedly stated in advance, doesn't seem to be getting me many amenities. The room was ok, with minor mildew issues and dilapidated fixtures in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable enough. The courtyard is tranquil. This is the second time I have stayed here and I probably won't return."

"Overall good experience. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet despite being near Bourbon St. Just a few gripes: bathroom hnges were very noisy, TV was old, and keys stopped working mid day Sat, but were promptly rekeyed. Can't beat the location or the value. Would stay there again."

Exit I-10 exit 235A/Orleans Avenue at the Vieux Carre Exit. Follow the right curve to Basin Street. Go 2 blocks to Conti Street and turn left. Go 4 blocks and cross Bourbon Street and the hotel will be on the left just before Royal Street.
